About the Role:

As Technical Project Manager, you have the chance to be at the heart of shaping the future of this growing Ecommerce business. We’re looking for someone who will develop our small, but passionate IT team and partners into a centre of excellence. Working right across the close-knit team - from company owners to our customer care teams - your IT strategy will help us deliver on our growth ambitions and continue to bring joy to more customers.

What you will do;

· Develop and execute an IT strategy that supports the shorter- and longer-term company goals.

· Create detailed project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

· Responsible for the day-to-day management of our ERP system, web platforms & integrations.

· Develop and manage relationships with 3rd party IT partners, ensuring that they are delivering according to project timelines and within budget. This includes writing scopes, negotiating partners on timelines and costs terms.

· Ensure IT Partners work within the agreed SLA’s.

· Manage and resolve any differences with partners in order to reach company goals.

· Manage project risks, blockers and changes, ensuring that appropriate mitigation strategies are in place when required.

· Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders to understand project requirements to ensure the scope is correct and that the project deliverables align with business needs.

· Ensure that IT projects are delivered in accordance with established development processes and methodologies

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the business, identifying opportunities for IT & process improvements

· Provide technical leadership and guidance to our team, with clear recommendations including business cases to ensure the business is keeping up to date with technologies that will help deliver a better service to our customers and drive efficiencies.

Experience

· Higher education Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience

· 5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects, including eCommerce projects and software development project

· Excellent technical project management experience. Experience in developing, executing IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

· Deep understanding of software development processes, technologies, and platforms. Knowledge of eCommerce platforms like Magento and BigCommerce along with ERP systems.

· Familiar with programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or PHP, SQL which are commonly used in Ecommerce platforms. The ability to work with their APIs, extensions, and plugins.

· Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which are essential for developing and customizing Ecommerce website designs.

· Familiar with cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

· Experience in integrating multiple systems, internal & external including 3PL and other software platforms, and the ability to understand and resolve technical issues that may arise during integration.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· The ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including 3rd party partners, in-house tech team and other stakeholders.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.

· Experience in Negotiating and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.

· Ability to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project delivery.

· Be able to show strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring that all details are accounted for.

· Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand and align project deliverables with business needs and customer requirements.
